Privacy notice
Huling na-update: Nobyembre 1, 2026
Pipwed is a wedding planner for couples. This notice explains what we collect, why, who helps us run the service, how long we keep it and what you can do about it. It follows the EU and UK GDPR and the UAE Personal Data Protection Law.
Who we are
Pipwed is run by the operator of Pipwed (legal name and address to be published here before launch). Write to hello@pipwed.com about anything in this notice.
What we collect
- Your account: email address, display name and your sign-in method.
- What you put into your wedding: names, dates, tasks, budget and payments you record, vendors and their contact details, documents you upload, your run of show, mood board and wedding website.
- Your guests, as you enter them: names, household, contact details, invitations sent, replies, meal choices, dietary notes, addresses and travel details.
- What guests send through your links: replies, notes, gift reservations, addresses, travel details and photos for your album, with the name they choose to give.
- Technical data needed to run the service: server logs with IP address and browser type, kept by our hosting providers for security for a short time.
What we do not do
- No advertising, no tracking or analytics scripts, no selling or renting of data.
- No vendor marketing: we never pass your details or your guest list to vendors.
- We never hold or move money. Gift buttons send guests straight to the couple's own payment links.
Why we use it and on what basis
- To provide the planner you signed up for (performance of our contract with you).
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse (our legitimate interest).
- To send the emails you ask the app to send, such as invitations, and account emails such as sign-in links (contract).
- To meet legal duties, such as tax records for purchases (legal obligation).
Your guests' data
For guest details you enter or collect, you decide what is collected and why; we process it on your behalf to run your wedding. Please only add what you need and tell your guests you use Pipwed.
Guests can ask the couple, or us, to see, correct or remove their details. Pictures in a guest album can be hidden or deleted by the couple at any time.
Who helps us run Pipwed
Some providers are based in the United States. Transfers are covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
- Supabase: database, sign-in and file storage, hosted in Frankfurt, Germany (EU).
- Vercel: hosting and delivery of the website.
- Resend: sending emails you ask the app to send, from its EU region in Ireland.
- Whop: checkout and payment when you buy, acting as the seller of record. Pipwed does not see your card details.
Cookies
We use only cookies the service needs: to keep you signed in, remember which wedding you are viewing and remember your language. No advertising or analytics cookies, so there is no cookie banner.
How long we keep it
Your wedding stays available until 12 months after the wedding date; the date is shown in More. It is then closed and, 30 days later, deleted with its files and photos. Export it before then if you want to keep it.
You can delete your account at any time from More. If you created the wedding, deleting your account deletes the wedding for everyone in it; a partner or collaborator who leaves removes only themselves. Database backups expire on a rolling basis within 30 days.
Your rights
- See and download your data: More › Export gives you everything in one file.
- Correct it: edit anything in the app.
- Delete it: delete your account in More, or write to us.
- Object to or restrict processing, and ask us questions: write to hello@pipwed.com.
- Complain to your data protection authority if you think we got something wrong.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Each wedding is isolated by database rules, files are private and shared only through short-lived links, and staff access is limited to what is needed to run the service.
Children
Pipwed accounts are for adults. Couples may list children as guests; that information is handled as described in “Your guests' data”.
Changes
If we change this notice in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before it applies.
